Toyota 4WD Surf Owners

Hi Guys,
New here, hope to pick your brains through trouble shooting process.

OK, LN130 Hilux Surf, 2.4 turbo diesel, 310,000km. Been sitting 2 years.
Jumper lead to start about a year ago, was reverse polarised....!!! Wipers went on of their own accord, no start.

Now, new battery, key to ignition, no glow plug light, no ignition lights, no radio, no door open lights. Does have headlights though.
Crank engine, good, put some ether down the air cleaner, it "sounds" like it wants to go, but no ignition.
Looked at the fuses, the 30 and 40amp and 2 80 amp fuses OK.

Diesel is obviously 2+ years old, but I suspect we're looking at an electrical problem.

Next steps guys, open to next steps in trouble shooting.
