Hey guys,
I'm kinda new to the 4wd scene and just have a few questions in regards to new aftermarket roman on my surf. I have a 1KZ-TE '94 surf which currently has stock alloy rims (which I believe are 15" x 8") with 31x10.5" tyres.
I'm looking to get some aftermarket Sunraysia steelies. I plan on once again getting a 15" diameter rim however am unsure whether to stick with 8" width. What pros and cons are there for changing the rim width and does it affect what tyres I will be able to install on the rims in the future?
Also, I am unsure about what rim offset to have on the rims. I understand the factory alloys have an offset of 0. I have read that with hilux surfs, there are only certain rim offsets that can be used. Is this correct?? Or am I able to use any sort of offset on my surf??
however with aftermarket rims, will an offset affect the handling or performance of my surf??
Hopefully this all makes sense and I can have a hand with all of this.
Cheers, any help would be really appreciated!
