Toyota 4WD Surf Owners

Hi guy's, after some advice from the knowlegeable.
I've just about finished my 1uz conversion and life has thrown me a x6, in a good way.
I'm now going back to a 5l diesel.
Can anyone inform me if the above ecu controls anything other than the glowplug timing and emmisions? I'd like to be rid of it...
I have a strong 5l engine in my Toyota Dyna which will be the doner vehicle and that runs without an ecu.

89 LN130, 5l transplant, water to air intercooler, aftermarket temp guage ( a must!!!) Redarc combined egt, boost n oil pressure gauge... and all the normal stuff that we do

not sure on p/n but if thats a 2lt not a 2lte ecu then its usually just emissions and glows, and auto gearbox.
edit: just checked wiring diagram and it shows connection to rpm gauge, so that will stop working when you remove it.
