Hi Folks,
I was hoping to find a thread with this error code in it but I didn't see anything.
I just put a new 2L-TE in my 92 Surf. (I pulled the EGR system at the same time). When I first started it the engine it ran at 3K RPM. I turned it down, (thinking on it, that may have been a mistake).
I have an error code 13.
Can anyone please give me an idea whether this could be the crank sensor, or if it is a problem of some kind and what I should look for?
I imagine the first thing that will be asked is a question about the timing. Anything is possible, but, I checked it three times and turned the crank 720 degrees (two full turns CW) and checked it again, I checked it a forth time before installing the cover. (I've been here before).
The pump is set to the proper lines as well.
I should think there is a resistance test I could run on the sensor, I just don't know the drill to do that. Also, the crank sensor seemed a little less than perfect when I installed it, so I'm not confident it's OK.
Any help is most appreciated. Thanks in advance, Allen
