I have a new issue with my otherwise very reliable 1989 Surf.
When the engine is cold, I have a green boost light, and full boost(extra power). Once the engine reaches operating temp, no green light, and no boost. Not even when it's only slightly warm. It has to be cold for it to work. It cuts out mid gear change as the temp gauge reaches normal.
I will need to track the electrical wiring that connects the two(temp sensor and boost VSV), and diagnose from there, but is this a fault that anyone else has had? If so, where do I look first?
