Toyota 4WD Surf Owners

My "luffly" 94 326k auto Surf has an oil leak towards the back of the engine on the passengers side Can only be a little above the starter at most but open to your thoughts Brakekleened and wiped down as much as I can but not a lot of vision up there HEElLLLPPP please
Have now found there is a fair bit of oil soaked up in a sponge like fabric low down between the back of the sump and the gearbox lower front if that helps Ran the motor till normal temperature and oil came from there to collect on the bottom of this sponge and then it ran down to bottom of sump plug
